The growing demand for electrical energy, increasing energy prices, and the need to reduce our impact on the environment will encourage us to enhance the exploitation of renewable energy resources and use energy more efficiently. Power electronic converters are the key components to control and conversion of one form of electrical energy to another form and will dominate the electrical grid in the coming decades.

Dr. Narimani’s research program focuses on the development of the next generation of high-power electronics converters to improve the efficiency, reliability, and performance of power converter technologies for high-power applications.

Research Topics:

  • Power Electronics
  • High-Power Conversion Systems
  • Fast Chargers and Ultra-Fast Chargers for Electrified Transportation
  • Motor Drives and Fault Management
  • EV Wireless Chargers
